The Bucks Hub Partnership, together with Danes Educational Trust: The Partnership and their respective partner schools, form 'The Partnership,' providing high-quality and uniquely tailored teacher training, for exceptional candidates across Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire. We work together with the University of Hertfordshire (a leading regional provider of Initial Teacher Education) and Ambition Institute, as our Awarding Bodies.
The Bucks Hub Partnership has extensive experience training teachers and offers placements for postgraduate fee-funded and employment-based teacher training routes, across the full range of curriculum subjects, including Primary.
Subject and Teacher Mentors direct the development of subject and pedagogical knowledge for teaching in school settings. All schools employ a Professional Mentor to quality assure the provision of training within the school. The programme enables trainees to have a clear understanding of learning theories and child development, and the impact on student learning, and informs their own development as a teacher.
Trainees have the opportunity to spend time in at least one other partnership school to ensure a contrasting and comprehensive experiences. They also have additional week-long placements, in a variety of settings, focusing on particular aspects of their practice. As well as first class mentoring in school, trainees will participate in full-day conferences and shared professional studies sessions. These sessions can be tailored to the strengths and development needs of each individual.
Feedback from trainees is overwhelmingly positive. We meaningfully invest in the training experience of each individual and ensure we tailor training to meet their needs, which is vital in helping each trainee to thrive. By enriching their CV this way, we also help them to secure ECT roles.
